Let Me Go

by goldie   Apr 26, 2006

What can I do?
I'm sitting here crying my heart out
Trying to get away
Thinking of somewhere to run
Anywhere but here
Anywhere but here
Away from this crazy stuff
Its things that don't make sense
How can I run?
Where would I go?
Is there any place for me to actually stay?
I'm scared and afraid
So stressed and in pain
Nothing for me to do
No way I can help
Just deal with the pain
The heart ache
And sorrow
Just deal with it now
And it'll all be over
No use of trying to fight
To fight against something unbeatable
Is just impossible
Just stay put and concentrate on my work
If that's possible
How can I sit here and do work?
My life is a mess
I feel like ripping my heart out
I wish I could just die
But I know I can't
What is there for me to do?
In this life
In this world
This crazy atmosphere I used to call home
There's only enough space for me to breath
Only enough space for me to live
No room for comfront
No room for tears
No one around me
Or no one that can help me run
Help me survive
Help me get through
Someone just whack me
Knock me out for a day
Or maybe a two
I don't really mind
As long as I'll come back alive
Another day
Maybe another life time
Just let me get past this
And let nothing worse come
Send everything you've got
Just this once and never once more
Just this time
I'll make it through
Another thing like this and I'll just give in
Just let me go
This time once
And I'll never look back
Just let me go
Go past this time
I promise I won't give in
I promise I won't run
Just this once
Just let me get through
And I'll be happy
Just let me live
Let me get past
Just let me go through
Just this once
Just let me go...
Let me through..
Just this once...
And this once only...
Just let me go..

I like this poem the best. It has so much feeling. It makes you want to cry and help you, even if you know you can't.
