Sorrowful Rain

by free fall   Apr 26, 2006

Rain drops are singing gently
Of the way things once were
Whispering to me softly
The echoes of before

The times come rushing back then
The rain begins to sting
Alone the pain is deeper
The anger then does ring

Sorrowful rain continues
Bleeding hurt from within
Embodying the heartache
That surely must be sin

Slowly the rain is calming
The clouds begin to drift
Peace now fills this broken shell
My soul begins to lift

Now I have the happiness
Much lighter than the pain
But waiting not far away
Is that all familiar rain...
