Impatience

by free fall   Aug 22, 2006

She sees it all around her
the rush everyone seems stuck in
unable to stop for merely a moment

she wonders at their hurry
thinks of all they're surely missing
amazed at the impatience showing in all

she allows a bitter laugh
at the confusion of the world
how our priorities are far off the mark

she sighs in growing sadness
wishing all would soon realize that
when we fly through life, it ends that much sooner
