The End

by KrypticKristen   Apr 26, 2006

She stands on the edge
Wind roars in her ears
Her eyes are closed
She hears the waves crash
A great distance below

She is calm
She is ready
She is determined
She is excited

She runs
She jumps

To the sea
To the end
To the land of carrion
Darkness awaits

To the end
Of pain, of suffering,
Or desire for more
The end
Of existence, of life

She plummets
Exhilarated
Wind rushes
Hair flows
Pure joy

Realization

The end
Of existence, of life
Of sun, of light
Of laughter and love
Of pleasure
Thats it, the end

A mistake?
Too late, too late
Too late to stop
Too late to rethink, reconsider
Too late to live
To make mistakes
To change

Too late to end this now
Water strikes
Breath is gone
Impact, pain
Can`t breath
Can`t think

The end draws near
Too late, too late
But too soon
Darkness comes
The end, thats it
No more

The end
