Autumn Leaves

by AJ   Feb 9, 2004

Those Autumn leaves
Fall to the ground
Become one with the earth
Without making a sound
They kiss the shoulders
Of all passing by
Without second thought
Of the leaves as they die
How beautiful it is
The life of those leaves
Captured in beauty
By one who believes
To live for a moment
Yet see seasons - four
Turn to red in the dusk
And then float to earth's floor
How I envy those leaves
And the life that they live
To live for such a short time
But give all they can give.
