Hooking up

Why do friends
have to be so stupid
you tell them you don't want a boyfriend
but then they go play cupid

they try to get you
with every guy they meet
even if its just
some guy off the street

when you tell them
you don't want their help
you meet this guy
and you just start to melt

you want them to introduce you
to this wonderful guy you met
so they try to hook you two up
using the Internet

you two start to date
but it doesn't last long
he apparently doesn't like you that way
you interpreted his actions wrong

so you get mad at your friends
and you get mad at him
and you stop talking to them
and you start to be grim

then you realize
that you two are better friends
you start to hang out more
and your friendship never ends
