Your Eyes

by minnie30567746   Apr 29, 2006

As I looked into your eyes,
I tried to cover my surprise.

The eyes I saw were filled with grace,
They were the focal point of your face.

As you told me your name, and I ask your age,
I figure that you must be all the rage.

When you say you are 13, I try not to laugh,
You look more like 17, and maybe a half.

I wish I could love you, and be your one girl,
but we come from completely different worlds.

And as I faintly whisper goodbye,
you walk away as I let out a sigh.
