Mem0ry 0f a girl...

by MadelineJayde   Apr 30, 2006

I'm not a child anymore,
no longer that little girl.
those memories will be cherished,
as the petals of youth unfurl.
first it was dolls and teddy bears,
now its clothes and boys.
Will i ever gain back that innocence?
playing with worn-out toys?
not a girl, a young woman now,
yet words are left unspoken.
had my share of pain and grief,
with many hearts left broken.
adulthood comes unexpectedly,
it's a time to reminisce.
until jumbled memories coalesce,
into that girl i dearly miss.
the flower grows and, in time,
will show its delicate bloom.
it will wilt, but the sweet scent will
linger in a dusty, forgotten room.
