Mercury

by lunachan   Apr 30, 2006

Oh, Mercury
Dripping from my fingers
in the prettiest way.

Flowing through my veins,
coating my hair and skin.

I\'ll lay on my roof at night,
and I\'ll imagine I can see you shine
I wish you were nearer,
I\'d sing to you

I\'d try to soothe your lonliness...
because you hang all alone in the dark...

that\'s no way to live.

Sparkle for me, Mercury.
I know I can\'t see you,
I know I can\'t help.
but I\'ll be able to sleep tonight
knowing that you\'re there

And that you maybe,

maybe miss me

I thought it was vury good. Confusing. But good. Extremely well written. It's one of those poems where you think it's about one thing, then a stanza later you think it's about something else, and usually you never truly know what it's about. Those are always snazzy.
