Enclosed in Darkness

by lost soul   May 1, 2006

Scrambling through this dark forest,
She tries to break free.
branches tearing at her face and clothes,
There no one around that she can see.
Running blindly down the path,
she falls into the frigid river of despair,
with her only companion;the moonlight.
No one knows she's gone, they don't seem to care.
There no helping hand to help her up,
She just sits defeated and weeps.
all around her she hears dreadful things.
This time darkness won, and he plays for keeps.
