I Miss You

by TILLmyLASTtearFALLS   May 2, 2006

I was in an empty park; there was no laughter around,
no joyfull children, no gossips, nothing at all,
I walked slowly, with tiring steps on my own,
The fallen trees, the broken benches on the ground,
Everything which one time used to be ours.

Grey clouds on the sky; silent, cool wind,
It was not late not early either
But the sun had hidden no matter the time,
To leave the place into a deep loneliness there,
With only the sound of few birds flying above my hair.

I went on walking, but suddenly I realized I was not alone,
There was a young girl lying on the floor,
She wasn't ill, with no apparently wound,
But she cried, she cried non-stop.

I tried to help her, I tried to cheer her up,
But the only thing that mattered was she missed his hugs,
She missed a boy who once promised her the moon,
She now felt miserable she now knew the truth.

This guy had left her, there was no more light,
There wouldn't be more nights,
There wouldn't be more smiles,
She resigned to cry, to cry, to cry...

And with a sudden shiver, I opened my eyes,
I was sweaty, afraid, and I knew why,
That girl was I, of that, I was sure,
Because I cuddled your picture
Where I had written, I miss you.
