Broken

by Holly   May 2, 2006

I tried to hide my pain, as I walked away. You tried to show me a smile that said,"I'll be OK." Your eyes showed the truth, they showed the sorrow you felt.
I wanted you to chase me, I wanted you to beg me not to go, I wanted to hear I love you, but all that goes unheard...
I walk a little faster, I can't let you know tears are streaming down my face! If I ever mattered, you would have already stopped me!
I turn around to say I made a mistake, I can't live without you, please tell me the same!
You're already gone, moved onto someone else I'm sure...My life is over all because I couldn't say the words...
I whisper them now, into a dark room. Only one candle is lit so I can see what I must do. I slice the blade quick and deep...The pain is overwhelming but puts a smile on my face...I slice into the other, not as fast or as deep, but the pain is the same, and my death shall be quick!
I leave you a letter with all the words left unsaid. I hope you know my love for you was true, and from above or below where ever I may end up I will always be watching out for you...

Ehh, I really wish that the girl in this poem wouldn't kill herself over some stupid person that doesn't love her back.. :\ But this is really good. ^-^
