Sad but true

by brianna   May 2, 2006

A girl stares on,
filled with a request.
A pressured feeling,
lands on her chest.
Was is right or was it wrong,
to know the man for so very long.
It was only a drive,
on a wet stormy night.
They sped out of town,
right out of sight.
Now they're driving,
out of state.
He pulls to the side,
his eyes with hate.
He is done waiting,
for her to be ready.
She tries to get out,
and remain steady.
He yanks her back in,
rips off her shirt.
A bolt of lightning,
crosses the Earth.
A young girl was raped,
left out in the rain.
She lays there crying,
from all of the pain.
Now all she can do is tell no lies,
and hope we all believes her cries.
She expires in the rain,
with one thing in mind.
Tell daddy she's sorry,
she avoided the sign.
Goodnight young girl.
