All i lived for

I stand at the cemetery,
Looking down at my freshly dug grave,
Im waiting for you to come and pay your last respects,
So I can die peacefully... because thats the only way I can let go.

The blood red rose that sits on top is grinning at me,
Telling me 'I told you so'
Mocking me forever for being such a fool,
For being your fool.

Youre late again as usual,
Perhaps you feel guilty for what you have done,
Or perhaps you simply just forgot,
How easy I seem to be to erase.

The scars on my delicate wrists spell your name,
And my dead eyes look only for you.
The vulture is waiting by my tomb stone,
I am not yet dead however, and this is why I wait for you.

You have broken my heart til there is nothing left,
You have evaporated my soul,
You have destroyed all hopes of a future,
And all reason to live.

You have killed me from the inside,
And now I need you to finish the job,
Kiss me goodbye, then push me into my grave,
That you dug for me.

I can see you moving towards me,
And as you stand by my side it becomes apparent,
How far I have faded,
We are a black and white photo.. I am the shadow.

Youre shaking my shoulder,
And asking me why,
I turn cold, dead eyes upon you,
'Exactly'

'Youre being selfish' you snap,
And I begin to laugh with my dying lungs,
'Do it quickly,' I whisper, placing a knife in your palm.
'No!' youre screaming at the top of your lungs.

'I love you' I tell you softly,
'Good night and goodbye'
I hug you tight for the very last time,
And then I fall.

You're screaming for help,
And I find it so amusing now that it is too late,
My crimson smile is forever in place,
Lips parted in a final goodbye.

You don't hesitate to walk away,
Which is what you were always good at,
And that's why I didn't hesitate to give you what you wanted,
Because that's all I ever lived for.
