Wings of Desire

by Hailey   May 3, 2006

Two young lovers, parked on an old dirt road.
Holding each other, like there's no tomorrow.
The steam on the windows, is trickling down.
The testing of love, is love that they found
The sweat on their bodies, constantly beating the fire.
The glow on their faces, soft in a kiss,
They've never known, feelings like this.
But they ride.

Softly they ride, on the wings of desire.
On the wings of desire,
Their going to soar,
Leaving behind the doubt
They've felt before,
Passion burns hot,
The flame raises higher.
Love can take them where they want to go,
On the wings of desire

Honeymoon's over,
It ten years down the road,
Reality sets in, where did the fire go?
He's always working, never at home
She's raising a family, all on her own
Where do they go now,
It gotten down to the wire
No doubt about it,
Life's gotten rough
But they still believe love is enough
They're still away, on the wings of desire.

On the wings of desire,
Their going to soar,
Leaving behind the doubt
They've felt before,
Passion burns hot,
The flame raises higher.
Love can take them where they want to go,
On the wings of desire.

Oh love can take you where you need to go,
On the wings of desire.
