Under the Umbrella

A rainy day
with my umbrella held tight
i walk through the crowd
as i pass you look into my eyes
and i stop to offer you cover from the rain

you say no thanks
but i stay any way
so now together
trying to stay dry
we begin our talk

on and on it drags
we walk past our destinations
saying we can go back around
and now it is nightfall
and we must come out from under the umbrella
