This Isn't The End (Part 1)

Sitting alone in his room
so many thoughts running through his mind
but they all led back to her
and the forgiveness he'd never find

letting her walk away
was his biggest mistake
not running after her
and letting her heart break

he knew he'd messed up
and he'd do anything to get her back
but he couldn't help but think
it was too late for any of that

he tried to talk to her
but she just wanted to forget
how he cheated and lied
and that they had ever met

her friends told him to leave her alone
he told them he just wanted to explain
he stood outside her house
waiting for her in the rain

she finally came outside
told him to please just go
he said I'm not asking you to forgive me
but there's some things you need to know

I never meant to hurt you
and I hate myself for breaking your heart
I don't know why I did it
but without you I'm falling apart

then why did you kiss her
and then keep lying about it all
you just stood there
and watched my heart fall

I know that I messed up
I just wanted to say I'm sorry that it happened
I hope someday I can have a second chance
and that this isn't the end
