Lost Angel

I was happy and sad when I found out I was due
And told myself I'd be a good mum, despite what I'd been through
So first few months went by and all was well
You gave me little time to dwell,
On how you had got there
But then stomach cramps came and I got scared
So off to the doctor to see if this was a scare
I got a scan and was told it was a game of wait and see
Please be strong baby, please for me.
Two weeks later things got worse, I started bleeding
That was the point of no return
I lost my baby three days later
The tears came then-I couldn't understand
Why this had been taken out of my hands
I just wanted my baby back
Was that so hard to understand?
