Ocean of Tears

by Shadow   May 7, 2006

Look into my eyes,
be overcome by tears,
let them tear into your soul.
Oceans of sadness will overcome your body,
and swallow you whole.
Dive deeper into the ocean,
what do you see?
A happier version of me?
Locked away in a chest
of the forbidden,
no key to be found.
Hear the ocean sing,
sing of silence,
sorrow,
and tears.
Come to the surface,
come and see,
what is left of me.
The bits and pieces,
of me left behind,
a trail of tears,
hidden behind eyes all of these years.
Oh what a sight I've become,
Since I've began to decay,
don't you wish you had the key,
to unlock the happier me?
