Picture Perfect is a Lie

by Chantelle   May 8, 2006

Her wings appear the purest white
As she flies freely through the cloudless skies
Everything around just seems too perfect
Like a picture taken in the middle of spring, so bright and alive

It isn't until she reveals her true self
The sky will turn black
And the flowers will start to die
The once picture perfect life will be ripped apart

Inside she feels lonely
She struggles to fight alone
She's tangled up in her web of lies
Never to be free

She will keep sinking into her deep abyss
Unless someone's hand reaches out to her
And pulls her up
Lifting her spirits and raising her head

Without someone's guidance
She wont make it out
She will just keep sinking
Further and further away from life

Lonely and afraid
She begins to give up
She reaches the end of her abyss
And everything turns black
