Fallen Leaf

Never knew there was more than this,
So empty and all alone,
She walks on day after day,
The voice, her only company, her own.

The stars shine down upon her,
The fallen leaves flow by her side.
Broken hearted, she dreams of something else.
Wishing her end to be so nigh...

She knows she will see the sun-rise,
She knows this night wont be her last,
Waking up tomorrow,
It breaks her heart.

This poor girl watches people go to work,
Drinking their coffee, the don't see her,
Dropping scraps of food she's only dreamed of eating,
She's looking in the back ally for last weeks dinner.

She dreams of a thing called love,
Which is longing in her heart.
The closest she'llever come is a man with a wallet.
She cried herself to sleep as her heart is torn apart.

Living her life all alone,
Given up by her parents,
Wondering if she'llever be missed,
Although she holds no resentment.
