Grandfather

by Shadow   May 8, 2006

You were there for me when I was sad, acting

like my real dad.

Your sweet voice, a help to others, sounding

like happy lovers.

Your eyes glow sapphire to show how much you

care, telling me you'll always be there.

Your hand like a child's, fragile and fair,

knowing that you will always care.

Your soul always is honest and true, going

by boat to the ocean blue.
Your life is always full with love, always

Then came the day, that awful day when you

had to leave us on our way.

In our hearts we truly know, how much you

cared and know.

You will soar above in our souls, carrying

love we know.

We hope you see this poem, right next to me.

Please soar high and free.
