Outside and Inside

The happy girl is smiling
Bringing joy to all around
Laughing and joking
Her voice, a beautiful sound

The sad girl is hiding
She doesn't know what to do
Writing and crying
About all the pain she's been through

The happy girl is chattering
Getting so much attention
She's always so up-beat
Kind and sweet, I may mention

The sad girl is dying
Feeling alone in the crowd
Trying to ignore her thoughts
But they're starting to get loud

The happy girl looks in her mirror
The sad girl she can see
No longer can it be denied
That these two girls are me..
