The ABC's Of The Undead (alphabet poem)

by Ashleigh Skye   May 9, 2006

Abstaining from the sun,
Basking in the night,
Cool white skin,
Determined for a bite.
Enchanting the pure and innocent,
Fabricating a sense of trust,
Gorging on life that flows through our veins,
Horrors hidden by a strong sense of lust.
Insincere words are spoken,
Just to get close to a vein,
Kindness in then thrown to the wind,
Lost like the water down a drain.
Mastering the art of seduction,
Never needing to try very hard,
Opening the mind of the chosen,
Planing thoughts behind their guard.
Quietly floating off,
Rejuvenated from the new blood supply,
Settling down for a long sleep,
The sun then kisses the sky.
Unattainable during the day,
Vanishing into the night,
Waking up by the light of the moon,
X-clusively for another bite.
Yelling will never save you,
Zone out and accept my point of view.

This is really outstanding. Especially since you said it was a first attempt. Liked reading it.
