Your Smile

by Brigitte   May 11, 2006

Everything’s going wrong
Feeling like I just don’t belong
Nothing I do has gone right
Everything’s just a constant fight

I slump down into my chair
Feeling like I just don’t care
I vaguely hear the teacher’s voice
Being alive today was not my choice

A silent tear welds in my eye
But I just can’t let myself cry
Depression deep down in my soul
No use trying to play cool

Just when I think my life is pointless
Just one big never ending mess
You turn and smile my way
And boy, when you smile, my sorrows stray

You wink and pass me a letter
Somehow my life is getting better
You grin as I open it
Your eyes all alit

Inside it read
“I know we’re hanging on by a thread
But I’m lucky to hang with you
I love you, I really do”

I smile back
As my life slides back on track
It’s amazing how just one of your grins
Can make my whole world spin!

    This is the FBI.
We have notified your personal attempts/thoughts towards suicide and have taken the proper measures for people of your mental condition.

We realise that suicide is a cry for help.

We have traced you and prepare to take steps towards a rest home, or whatever necessary, based on the results of the evaluation you will be given.

    Regards
