Can you touch my heart with delicate hands
Massage the broken parts with care
Lightly brush away the scars unhealed
Replace my feelings of sudden despair

Will you be there to hear my anguished cries
Lend your shoulder as I quietly tell
Of all those who I have cast aside
Reaching for me from a bottomless well

Can you forgive me for words unsaid
Our bond now permanently broken
Will you erase the pain from my head
The memories of thoughts unspoken

Must you be so harsh in my sorrow
Showing me what I have lost the most
Leading me down a path too difficult to follow
The road fading just as I get close

Can you save my mind from wandering too far
As I slowly walk toward the edge
Will you hold me from falling too hard
Knowing what heartache lies ahead

Can you tell me that you love me once more
Or will you turn me away from your heart
Will you give me what I have waited so long for
Or leave my world torn apart
