Contemplation

by Brad Champagne   May 14, 2006

I lie cold, alone in the dark of night
Yearning for your warm embrace.
Thoughts and memories flood my mind
With visions of your lambent face.

The world around is dull and drear
Without you by my side.
Though indecision makes unclear,
My love I cannot hide.

We don't fit within the borders
Of lines drawn in the sand.
It's complicated;
Not what I planned.

I don't ask for much,
Just for what's true.
Say you love me;
That's all I ask of you.
