Wings Of a Butterfly

by Wings Of Flames   May 15, 2006

Spread out to the sky,
Clouds seeping in my eyes,
The sun bleeding on my back,
Now an angel dies,

Every 'friend' i had possessed,
Left me for the better,
I watched agonized by pain,
Ripping every stupid letter,

'Love' is stronger then a friend,
Even though I'm scared to say,
The leaves of Autumn are to fall,
Left to die today,

Angel falls from the sky,
And pelts into the ground,
All of this for a friend,
But not one have I found,

I gave up my possessions,
My soul, my heart and care,
The priceless gifts I envy,
Are broken for me to bare,

Petals of forgiveness,
I broke off and spoke out,
But the ones you had to give,
You kept, so i shall doubt,

Life is not plentiful,
With beauty nor of grace,
Every flower embedded,
reminds me of your dying face,

Bright to the sight,
But hides a lethal thorn,
Roots embedded in the ground,
And seeded to be born,

Goodbye my bouquet of deceit,
My lullaby at night,
My one 'true' life and love,
I've given in to the fight.

I always love your work. Everything you write is a new taste of pain, and your soul. Your poems seem so personal, an even if they aren't, they have a wonderful ring to them.
