Time

by Lomyr   May 15, 2006

I wait in a corner of everywhere,
To wrinkle your face, and grey your hair,
To ravage you and break your bones,
Oblivious to your despair.

I rust your metal, crack your rock,
Melt your glass, and harshly mock,
Your meaningless existence,
As you try so hard to beat the clock.

You call me "Father", why is this?
Do you not know my bitter kiss,
Can kill you in a second,
As you look skyward expecting bliss.

I have no need for love or health,
I have no need for fame or wealth,
I'm only seeking to destroy,
For I am life,
And death itself.
