Hope Has Gone

by Momentary Relapse   May 16, 2006

When memories fall to dust
And lamentations drag you down
When memories begin to crust
As within the limits of your mind drown

Remember the fading days
As you fall from your pedestal high
Remember the dying ways
Coalesced memories finally die

Every thought has finally gone
Away has flown all the hope
No more memories to ever wrong
Falling down the steep slope

I do indeed enjoy this poem, and I really appreciate your comments on mine. We write in the same manor, which is very good. We can understand eachother better. Keep up the good work.

There's so many ways to describe this piece. It can be a resolute ending, an angry call to arms, a soothing goodbye...wow...Really great job!

Thanks so much for your feedback!

I think that is a good poem---I like the way that you expressed what you were trying to say, and about how the memories are slipping away. I personally like the title you gave it--The only thing I think you could improve is some of the word choice-a few parts were a little hard for me to read smoothly, but maybe its just me... overall the poem was nicely written and I enjoyed reading it
