Truth

by Chelsea   May 16, 2006

Fear of the world
and all it has hidden
we never see past the line of forbidden
so far from the truth,
we're driven
caught in oblivion
of the constant dangers.

no one is an aquantence
among the face of strangers.
they're hiding inside themselves,
forgot familiar feelings felt,
the feelings i have now.

they too were afraid of the many perils...
'till they turned as exposed and raw
as the dirt on the ground,
left with no feeling.

as exciting as false superficialities may be,
i can't have these demons
invested in me.
i can't be blinded by what i see,
false hopes to live my dreams.

when you step outside and see what i see...
way beyond the skies,
far from the trees...
is there truth in that view?
as am i, are you confused?

so much to offer in this world.
but of that offer,
we have no clue.
somewhere beyond the ocean's blue,
somewhere past the line of forbidden,
lies the blackest part of a beating heart,
the truth, that is still hidden.
