These Walls

by Chelsea   Jun 1, 2006

These walls are so binding
around them, I freeze.
i've been pinned to them,
thrown against them;
these walls forced me to bleed.

they've been his canvas
where he uses my body to paint.
they're screaming my name,
but I don't want to go...

I look at them and see everything
it's like they tell a story.
they've seen him strip me of my glory,
experienced the horror
that goes on behind closed doors.

together it's our struggle.
my heart aches for these walls,
'cause they're hurting right along with me.

I just never realized it.

---please rate, didn't know where to catagorize this, but i think it's fine here.---

Holy moly, so full of emotion. Great poem, but i think even this comment underestimates how good this poem really is. Keep up the good work. 5/5 :)
