Asked questions, ignored answers

by al taylor   May 17, 2006

When you asked me,
You asked me for the truth,
Of course I told you lies,
But cant you see,
When you look into my eyes,
That I need your help.

You new that I was lying,
You chose to ignore the truth,
You try to act like you care,
And act like your love is there.

One thing I don’t understand,
If your not going to stop me,
Why ask me?
Why ask me about it,
If you don’t really care?

So when I think about you,
I do it that little bit more,
Thinking of you,
Makes me cry,
Cry crimson tears.

So when its all over,
I hope you no,
That you made it worst,
You made it that much more unbearable,
So when I finally go,
I really hope you no,
That it was because of you,
And the questions you never asked,
And the answers you ignored.

I wasn't overly 'wowed' but was a little impressed with the content. It did seem to lack that hook that makes it great. I did like the part with 'crimson tears' which was an interesting usage. Good write.
