Sweet Baby of Mine

by Kayli   May 17, 2006

Your soft and angelic eyes remain forever in my mind. Your smile lit up a room with one glance. Your small hands fiddled around with different toys. Your laugh, so sweet, innocent and darling, was one you couldn't miss. You wondered around with no thought or care, and u slept with peace and grace.
Your daddy left you early and mommy always seemed to cry. You never know what was going to happen, frankly you didn't care. Just seeing your mommy smile, made you giggle. Your little arms and legs were always moving, even if you were lying on your back you still were on the move.
Mommy didn't know that one doctor's appointment would change your life. The doctor said you were strong, but not strong enough. That your body just didn't seem right. The answer was cancer, and the cure was hope, but none the less you always spoke loud and clear without any fears.
Your fifth birthday rolled around and you had fallen into a hospital bed. Mommy was worried and scared to death. You never cried or complained when you knew it was your last day. You just smiled and said,"Mommy I'll always be with you."
As the night grew old, you became cold. No pulse was found and I hit the ground. You were so young and didn't have a chance to fight. I didn't know what to say, but I love you too and rest well sweet baby of mine.
