I am the Prey

by mookoo   May 18, 2006

The wind howls like a shrieking banshee
the night thick and muggy, misty
I sway as alcohol flows through my veins
my reactions and thoughts slowly drain

beneath a gnarled tree, by an old barn
a strong grip holds me stern
his grip pushes me to the moist ground
his lips hit mine in a heavy pound

I squirm, leave me alone, let me go
pinched under his heavy weight below
weakly I struggle to find my voice
unable to breath out a single noise

slowly his pants slink their way down
let me go, I watch asunder and drown
I squeak and he covers my mouth
my eyes shining with scared loathe

up goes my skirt past my silent screams
he rapes me as my eyes begin to teem
then its over, leaving me in the dirt
my eyes gleaming with confusion and hurt

he haunts me, as visions replay
the tree branches creak and ricoche
I feel tainted with thick stain
animal for slaughter, waiting to be slain

help me awake, this was all a dream
rising and blinking in a scream
escape my nightmare and speak
as his image holds me meek

I am the prey in the jaws of the beast
my blood trickles, his perfect feast
I remain clenched to the day
unable to speak, unsure of what to say...
