A Single Tear Drop

As I lay awake
Awaiting my peaceful sleep
I unknowningly shed a tear
I quickly go to wipe it away

I realize

This tear brings me joy
This tear brings me sorrow
This tear brings me light
This tear brings me darkness
This tear brings me life
And this tear...brings me death

one after another
they flow down my cheek
Each tear has it's own story
With no one to hear them out
I'm the only one who knows
of their secret journeys
