Billy's A Star

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   May 18, 2006

Billy's tired, he's been so worn down
People slinging comments his way
They're tearing him down bit by bit
Today is not billy's day.

He's lived through so much, however
There's only so much he can take
One day soon poor billy
Will break.

He could have been anything
So talented was billy
But now he does things
Others call silly.

He cuts his arms and he drinks
More than a young boy should
Billy tells himself that he's
Just no good.

If the world could see what
They were doing to this boy
Surely they would stop and
Give him some joy?

But they see his scars now
And all they do is mock
Billy's falling apart, his god no longer
His rock.

Oh, billy, if I could tell you
That there's a way out, I would
But billy you have to say
That you are good.

I can't help you until you
Help yourself, billy do you see?
You have to believe, believe
Of what can be.

This is not the end, billy,
There is so much more
Billy, don't cry, billy don't
Lay there on the floor.

Billy be strong, you have so much
So much I'd love to own
Billy, just believe,
You are not alone.

I can see an angel, yes an angel,
Standing on your right side
Oh billy, show your face, there's
No need to hide.

This angel has come from God
Come to teach you about who you are
Cos billy, did you know, god thinks
You're a star.

And so do I. So billy stand
Face your demons, head on
Cos billy, you know deep down
Hope hasn't gone.
