Can't Buy Me Love

by Michelle   Feb 15, 2004

I can take a trip to the local store
And buy everything in sight,
But even If I had a few cool mil,
I would still be cold at night.
All the money in the world
Can't buy the thing not found on a shelf
And so I just continue on
Day after lonely day by myself.
I can pay for every need I have
Just one has eluded me,
I've searched places near and far
Where can my true love be?
I've looked for him in every part
Of this great land of ours,
I've prayed that he would come to me
When I looked up at the stars...
All the money in the world
Can't buy me the one thing I most desire...
Someone to stay right by my side
And stoke my heart's fire.

Thanks everyone, for your kind remarks and Craig, you need to stop it or I'm gonna fall in love with you too and there's enough of that going around..!!!! You make me feel so great with your comments at a time in my life when I'm really not very "up". I usually try to be, but everyone has their moments you know? Thanks sooo much from the bottom of my heart...Luv Michelle :)

Your getting on my nerves now michelle. Cant you just write something crap once in a while to prove to the rest of us that you really are human and not some genetic experiment, designed to isolate the `poetry gene`! Great stuff, loved it. Feel like I know you just through a dozen or so lines. I`m not suprised by it anymore, getting used to your adroit delivery and exemplary pacing. You really are wishing on a star aren`t you?
