The Lady hawk and the Dragon

Why is it, when we look we do not find, but yet when we call out to the heavens, our prayers are answered in the most strangest ways? Some experiences in life need to be shared with another. To dull the pain and agony that it causes to our souls.

A lady hawk and a dragon sit on opposite sides of the pond. The marshes surrounding the pond are swampy and filled with alligators and evil things. The pond is a fair distance across, sometimes stormy and sometimes calm.

One day, the dragon decides he must start building a bridge across the pond to avoid walking in the marshes. Why, he does not know, but he knows he must complete it.

The dragon asks many people to help him build the bridge. There are fairies, white angels and a goblin or two. They prepare the bridge for construction, get plans ready and attend to the needs of creating the bridge. The lady hawk, seeing all the commotion comes over and says to the dragon.

"Dragon, can I paint the bridge for you?"

The Dragon is surprised. "Why not" - he thinks with a happy grin, for he can see the Lady hawk is genuine in her help.

So, they all start on their tasks, building, painting, finishing and preparing. It is a long road, with many late nights and early starts, stormy ways and pitfalls but finally towards the end of raising the last pillar the Lady hawk sits back, and thinks over what has happened while building the bridge.

She realizes, that not only a bridge was built and the marshes avoided, but an arrow into her heart was forged as well.
