Conformity

by Kim   May 23, 2006

Leading the way, following the crowd
Keeping head high, but always looking down
Spiteful after time, but pleasant at first
Never to my face, but mean, hurtful words
Never different, always the same
I'm the freak, as you proclaim
You are fine, but I am decaying
I wish it away, but this anguish is staying
You think you are different, but I just see the same
An imitation, that is your game
You're not you, you are your friends
Learn from me, don't follow trends
You think I am, but you're society's deformity
Hanging from the noose of your conformity
