My hero

by Hannah   May 23, 2006

My hero.
Spread your wings and help me fly away,
A place that I’ll want to stay,
A place where the birds will sing,
Happiness and hope this’ll bring.
As I look into your eyes,
These eyes that have so often cried,
These sad, unforgiving eyes,
Which have been told,
One to many lies.
When I look at your face,
Your mouth opening and closing,
Not knowing what to say,
Encase you say the wrong thing,
And something bad comes your way.
You listen to my problems,
And never interrupt,
You keep that tiny mouth of yours,
Closed and tightly shut.
I wish you could walk around,
And be by my side,
I wish you could be my friend, my sister, my hero
But all you are,
It’s funny to say,
My reflection in my mirror.
