A burning Sun

by Lynn Anderson   May 24, 2006

Wash away the sun,
so your skin wont burn.
Healing the weakened love,
its only lesson to learn.
I watch the weather fade,
into a mossy frosted jade.

To live the sound of laughter,
you can only live to the day.
I want you to understand,
the reason for my gain.
Hopeless hurt.
I've lost you too.

You ran from me with someones words.
To be a speakable hypocrite.
Against your yearn, for me to burn.
Underneath the sun.
You were meant to wash away.

I tried to comment to another's commnet on here and it wouldn't let me. Beautiful poem. I detected mixed emotions. sometimes it is hard to put mixed emotions into a poem but you pulled it off. :)
