Last 2 Hours

by Braeden Monks   May 25, 2006

Next thoughts going through my mind
Is if there will be enough time?
To get out of here and out the door
To be honest I forgot what happened before
I had my 8th drink
I just can't seem to think
Of what my next words were
And if I said them to her
It's a question that is rattling my brain
This question is driving me insane
Get up and walk fast out
As I go by the couch
I get a hit by a memory flash
And believe it was bad
Can't believe what went down
Maybe I should just leave town
Get in the car
Drive fast and very far
This car won't go fast enough
I swear and I cuss
Red light, No cops
120 it tops
Awake, in a white room
Ears are making this colossal boom
My feet feel weird
I try to look but I can't see them in the mirror
My heart beats faster and quicker
Now I my arms will not stir
This is getting scary
Doctor comes in and I read his name tag "Larry"
I say as calmly as I could
"Larry, my arms and legs donâ??t feel like they should"
He has a look on his face
That up my heart's pace
He doesn't say a word to me
He shakes his head covers me with the sheets on the bed
Finally it hit's me, I am dead

you havent posted anything in awhile. Well, I actually havent even been on this site in awhile, Bad writers block, no point in really posting anything anyways but to be critizied.. But I miss reading your poems. As for this one, it was cool, like it had a rythme to the way you read it..
