Missing You

by Kristin Smith   May 28, 2006

My mind wonders and I can't sit still
If only I could put into words what I feel
It hasn't been long, but still all the same
what I wouldn't give to hear you say my name
to feel the touch of your hand soft on my face
your arms wrapped around me, the soft embrace
the hours of the day are simply far too few
And then it hits me: I really miss you

I miss you like the sun would miss the moon
I miss you more than a song without its tune

I miss you like the desert misses rain
I miss you more than words can possibly say

I miss you like the blind would miss sight
I miss you more than the day misses night

I miss you more than warmth misses cold
I miss you more than beauty would miss a rose

I miss you more than the ground misses the sky
I miss you more than eternity would miss time...
