Right here

by His Little Boo420   May 29, 2006

Time stopped long enough to do what she had to do

She was able to sink into something that wasn't new

It was only forgotten and part of her past

but what she didn't know was it would be back this fast

Hiding away in her dark little corner

thinking this is the only answer

Feeling sad and utterly alone

What had come next was completely unknown

Keeping her tear-filled eyes staring down

on what had layed in front of her on the ground

She picked it up with complete confidence

that it had missed her absense

She doesn't think twice about changing her mind

She knows this was the duty she was assigned.

She closes her eyes and puts the blade to her wrist

completely forgetting she even exists

Pressing it down as hard as she can

harder and harder from when she first began

Sliding it across, making the blood appear

Realizing she's only comfortable in this spot, right here.

She's in her world and no longer has to hide

and for that brief moment can throw away her fake pride

Right here, she can be herself

and not have to pretend to be someone else

This is her own time and does what she wants to

and doesn't have to be someone who isn't true

She does her last final slits

as she's ready to admit

that this is the only thing

that stops her from aching

As she sets her blade back down on the ground

her tears stop and no longer has a frown

An accomplished smile is upon her face

as she realizes once again, she has her own "place".
