No Longer Weeping

by Leah   May 30, 2006

She runs without her footsteps
she runs without her shoes
lost shadows search to find her
the knowledge of what she'll lose.

She runs without her lover
she runs without her heart
lost shadows try to warn her
that the smiles will depart.

She runs without her morals,
she runs without past blame
looking up to see familiar cases
yet, the shadows never came.

She runs without her knowledge
she runs without her face
searching for her shadow
or an identity to place.

She runs without her footsteps
she runs without her tears
now they do not seep
she runs without a purpose,
but this time she doesn't weep.
