We Hide

by Twolz   May 31, 2006

We hide behind our smiles,
We hide behind our styles,
No one shows there real side,
No one shows who they are inside,
Too few people know how to show real compassion,
No one says what they truly feel much to their own dissatisfaction,
Yet people long for ones who are real as can be,
There are those who that try to blind the real so they can't see,
Those few that make other people want to die, Those few that famous and fake in the public eye,
And so we hide,
We hide are true selves,
Those few make us hide our true beauty from the rest of the world,
So I say to those people,
I'm tired of wearing a mask,
I'm tired of acting happy when I'm not just to please others,
I'll live my life how I want to live it,
Those people will no longer screw with my head, And you shouldn't let them control yours,
Wear what you want to wear,
Say what you want to say,
So break free and feel good in your own skin,
Your true beauty will come from within,
But every one is too scared except for me,
I got tired of being what society wanted me to be, So I'll be the only one who's free,
No one can control me,
And I'll make it on my own and give you the right to be free from them too,
I'll do that while you all just sit and hide.
