As the days drift past slowly
as thoughts swim in my head
what will they think of me when my true self is reveled

will they be so shallow
as to run away and hide
how can i judge them when i myself am scared
of all the things they know
this one is the biggest

the unknown is scary
but the known is even worse
i myself must accept
that this is not a curse

this is a part of me
that i must learn to like
i must give up this urge to constantly fight

for i can not change
what i have been given
i must forget all this and try to start living
