The Strongest Weakness

by Carlee Ann   Jun 1, 2006

In that darkened corner
Just around that bend
Lies a heart that is broken
Never to be mended again

For love has done it wrong
It lies in shattered pieces
For no one understands
The pain his heart releases

And it is not that he is not strong
If anything, far from weak
But the searching is so painful
When will he find what he seeks?

Life doesn't stop
His heartbeat doesn't cease
But will the past become the future
And kill eternal peace?

Dark angels lift the solitude
And God is calling out
The angels sing in harmony
To hymn what life is about

But the voices are not sweet
And the angel's tears, they fall
In this corner, a broken heart
Surrounded by pain's wall.

Imagery is fantastic in this write. A sorrowful poem that captures the reader until the end.
    My favorite stanza was:
But the voices are not sweet
And the angel's tears, they fall
In this corner, a broken heart
    Surrounded by pain's wall.

It finished the poem of powerfully.
