Love that was Never Spoken

You left me here...all alone
crying hurting why not the clone
you told me you loved me
i was to blind to see
i never said anything back to you

you said those 3 words on memorial day
i thought it to be too soon for you to say
i looked down in thought that maybe i do
love you back just like you want me to
i was to afraid to tell to afraid to hurt
so i said nothing and put my feelings on alert

i thought to myself one day and night
i thought real hard and thought i might
just be in love with a guy like you
but still hide my feelings because I'm afraid of you

Then one day you told me something
something scary and beyond all reason
i cried as i read the edgy note
it was the worst words i had read in all the season

there i stand with words never spoken
crying in regretfulness because my feelings were never spoken
with regretful tear drops falling from my face
i run outside with my heart starting to race
i yell in pain that i was stupid
because i never told you
how much i needed you

Then i stand over your grave
with flowers in hand and a note to save
i went home crying that same day
ran in my room with nothing to say

the thought ran threw her head just like it ran through his
"the world would only be better off with out me if i were dead"
so the next morning her parents would walk in
and see there daughter hanging
with a face full of sin
she left a note for them to read
it said she was only doing a deed
and that it wasn't there fault that she didn't bleed

She's now better off in happy land
with him he has her all in hand
together they laugh and play and run
together there forever laying in the sun

the moral is love
and how strong it can be
so just open your eyes
and you will see
love is forever lasting
and has effects
so tell the someone you love them back
